Lebenshilfe Brings Double Joy: Two Bee Hotels
A double contribution to joy: Two bee hotels from Lebenshilfe
As part of our anniversary year, “75 years of Göhler”, we were delighted to bring a special joy to Lebenshilfe Aschaffenburg – and at the same time launch a meaningful project: Together with the young people and adults supported there, two large bee hotels were created, which have now found a special place.
The two hotels were built with great dedication and craftsmanship in the Lebenshilfe workshops. Our Managing Director Michael Göhler personally visited Lebenshilfe to get an idea of the work and the people involved. The enthusiasm and pride of the participants were clearly noticeable – and the joy about the visit as well.
One of the bee hotels will in future be located on the orchard meadow of the municipality of Hösbach, where the first fruit trees were planted as part of our anniversary campaigns. The second bee hotel has found a very special place: It was set up on the private property of our managing director – as a personal sign of appreciation for the project, Lebenshilfe and the people who contributed to it.
The erection of this bee hotel was accompanied and celebrated by all involved. Over a drink and a small snack, everyone was able to exchange ideas again and enjoy the conclusion of this special project in a convivial atmosphere.
Even if the bee hotels are not intended to be inhabited by insects, they serve an important purpose: They set a visible sign for sustainability, inclusion and regional commitment. As an eye-catcher, they stand symbolically for the interaction of nature, social interaction and responsible action – on the orchard meadow as well as in the private environment.
A project that connects
The collaboration with Lebenshilfe shows how important it is to think outside the box. When social engagement, environmental protection, and local partnerships come together, projects emerge that radiate far beyond their symbolic value.
